This is the only record weight in the world made of cork and we are super proud that it was hand turned and made right here, in Cape Town.

The weight is perfectly balanced using cork and hard wood and range from 250g to 400g in weight. Depending on which turntable you have, the weight determination is important. Belt drive turntables should not for example add more than 250g in weight, whereas direct drive turntables are more than capable of handling upwards of 400g.
The cork is treated with 4 coats of an indoor poly-wax sealer, with a velvet clear finish. This not only feeds and nourishes the cork, but also gives you a luxuriously soft and velvet finish.
The CRW is hand turned and shaped, so no two are identical. Each weight is carefully crafted by our wood turner to the desired shape and then treated to finish. We use different pieces of wood for each weight, from Ash to Stinkwood and so if you're after a particular look please let us know in advance.
