Vinyl Rekkids back on Top
Vinyl Rekkids are back on top, firmly outselling CD's for the first time in 34 years. Not surprising when you understand two fundamental things.

Vinyl collectors are also a loyal lot and that was clearly demonstrated during lock-down, world wide, with sales holding steady. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, vinyl accounted for a whopping $232.1 million of music sales and that was just in the first 6 months of this year.
That's not to say we, and by we I mean vinyl junkies, don't consume music on digital formats, we do. I Spotify and sometimes YouTube my way through music, especially when I've exceeded my vinyl budget for the month.
Also, being in South Africa, getting my hands on the latest releases is often tough and a long wait. But it's totally worth it.
